As Rolls Royce woos China, India too must press GE to expand production of aeroengines in India

As both Rolls Royce and GE compete for the Chinese aeroengine market, with Rolls Royce offering to manufacture its engine in China,  India too must press GE to expand production and transfer technology to Indian partners. Eminent defence expert and Editor in Chief of Delhi Defence Review Saurav Jha has calculated that GE will supply 1100 engines for the Tejas if India goes for full induction of Mk I and Mk II.  Government should press GE to undertake production of the GE engine in India, as recommended by Saurav Jha in his article Single Engine Fighter Cancellation Provides An Opening For Tejas MK-2 http://delhidefencereview.com/2018/02/26/single-engine-fighter-cancellation-provides-an-opening-for-tejas-mk-2/
