Letter to Chairperson, JPC Personal Data Protection Bill

SITARA wrote to Smt. M. Lekhi, Chairperson, JPC on PDPB, appreciating her stand on developing and inducting domestic hardware and software as the only sure way to protect India’s ICT networks, a stand espoused by SITARA, and highlighting the importance of strong strong personal and non-personal Data Protection laws for India’s Data Security, Sovereignty and National Security. We also informed her that the practice of giving Government projects to Big Tech would lead to leaks of sensitive Govt data to Big Tech. We hope she will take our concerns into account.
