SITARA’s requests for R&D incentives for Domestic Companies in Telecom PLI approved!

We are so delighted to see that DoT has issued a Design-led PLI scheme in telecom, as per our 2021 requests made to NSA and Principal Secretary to PM, drawing their kind attention to the lack of adequate R&D incentives for domestic companies in the Telecom PLI, and suggesting a Design-led PLI Addendum to right the balance. We had also written to Hon’ble FM Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. Our earlier letter on the subject is also uploaded here.
Without indigenous technology, and that too ICTs, where all the 21st Century’s technological progress is taking place, India cannot hope to create indigenous value.
