As Executive Chairman at OXSIGHT Ltd., Rajeev Sawhney is helping the blind to see. OXSIGHT is a global company creating beautiful smart glasses with a mission to end sight impairment. These smart glasses are powered by AI technology developed at Oxford University. There are over 500 million people on the planet with low vision and blindness. Technology can provide sight and independence to these people.
Rajeev has spent 35 years shaping the IT services industry, building high performance organisations, and has held leadership roles globally. He was a key driver in one of the world’s most successful start-ups (now with over $10b annual turnover). He led the transformation of many industries through innovative IT enabled services operating from ‘trenches’ to ‘boardrooms.’ As President, HCL Technologies, Europe, which accounted for 28% of sales revenue with profitable growth, he was also the Global Head for Energy, Utilities, Aerospace, Govt., & Transportation & Logistics where he helped numerous customers in N. America, Europe & APAC realize business benefits through IT transformation.
Subsequently he was President -Strategic Business, Mphasis, a Hewlett Packard company, where he led the creation of growth engines globally to seize the new opportunities emerging in the IT landscape. He mentored a start-up at Mphasis focused on robotic solutions to solve problems of enterprises. In addition, he created horizontal services, a New Client acquisition engine, large deals team & led global sales for innovative next-gen solutions viz., Digital, Customer Experience Management, Mobility, Analytics, Testing, Infrastructure services, cognitive computing & ‘automation led tech/ops’ Business Process Services.
